What's up, my beautiful soul tribe, and welcome back from Mission Activated Podcast. And I am your host, Coach Ty, here to empower you and remind you that you don't need anybody's permission but your own because God has already called you forth from the moment that you were born. So go ahead and step off it, take the leap, move, switch, change, do it, baby, because you give yourself permission and just go. So today's podcast is the truth about closure is that you don't need closure. Their action was your closure. The disrespect was your closure. Some of you guys are wasting your life force. You are wasting your time. You are wasting your breath, waiting for a person to say sorry, to apologize. And what you have to understand on a deeper level is that people treat you how they feel about themselves. So half of these people that are doing you wrong, doing people wrong, they don't even realize that they're doing things wrong because they're just treating people how they feel about themselves. They're treating people and operating and flowing and moving through the world according to how they see the world, what their perception is of the world, what their understanding and their belief system is of the world. This is why that saying that hurt people, hurt people is so true. Because you are a product of your environment. So if you are a product of a toxic environment, then guess what? You're going to perpetuate toxicity. If you are a product of an environment of pain and you don't have the consciousness to be able to heal and grow, you are going to perpetuate that pain because you think that is normal. You have normalized it, okay, because of your environment. So that is what you have to understand. Number one, you have to understand people treat you how they feel about themselves. It is nothing personal. Do not internalize it, do not keep yourself stuck, do not stand spiritual quicksand because you're waiting for somebody to say sorry or apologize or explain why they did what they did. They did what they did because that's who they are. That's who they are. This is why I love that saying by Maya Angelou when she says, when a person shows you who they are the first time, believe them. Because they're telling you who they are, they're showing you who they are. Now, if you continue to pass go, then that's on you. That's not on them anymore. Because God is going to always give you red flags. Why? Because the enemy has to always expose himself because the spirit of love, the spirit of truth, and the spirit of light commands that truth comes forth. So he has to expose himself. He has to show you his hand of cards. But if you decide to sit down at the table and still play a game of cards with him, come on now, who am I talking to? Then that's no longer on him, it's on you. So you need to move on, you need to release, you need to let go. This is a very specific word from very specific people out there. And I am praying to the most high God that it finds each and every person that feels like they're stuck mentally, spiritually, or emotionally because they're still waiting for an apology. Baby, this is your freedom. This is confirmation to give yourself permission to be free, give yourself permission to move forward, give yourself permission to forgive yourself for allowing them to do whatever they did to you. Because, see, a person can only take the power and what you give them. Come on now, I'm gonna say that again. A person can only take and operate in your power and what you have given over to them. You have handed over to them willingly. So you have to give yourself permission to forgive yourself because this is a whole other podcast, but forgiveness is a two-part situation. You forgive the other person, but you first and foremost have to forgive yourself first for giving your power away, for staying, for not leaving, for not honoring yourself, for not valuing your own worth. So the moral of the story is that I want you to understand and know that you give yourself closure. God gives you closure by showing you who they are, by allowing them to be who they are, so that you don't waste time, you don't waste days, weeks, months, and years. This is another word for somebody. You never lose, you only learn. Okay? I need you to adopt that saying. I don't know who the original person was that said that, but it is one of the most profound things I've ever heard in my life. That is not an original statement for me. But there's a quote that says, I never lose, I only learn. I never lose, I only learn. If someone lied to you, cheated on you, they didn't lie and cheat on you. They did it to themselves. That's a seed that they sowed back into their own life. This is why you can't receive and internalize other people's baggage, other people's toxicity, other people's trauma, because that's what it is. People project, they project their own issues and stuff onto you. You have to learn and understand and discern what is your baggage and what is other people's baggage, especially those of you who are super highly empathic. Feel everything. You're like a freaking spun. You feel everything. You have to learn and discern how to separate your baggage from other people's baggage. Okay, that's a whole word for somebody. But let me get back to the story at hand. Closure looks like them disrespecting you. It looks like passive aggressiveness, it looks like them disappearing and then popping up like a month later, like nothing ever happened. Like, baby, no. No. You know what I'm saying? No. So anything that falls into any situations like mental, emotional, and abusive behavior, all of that stuff is closure. That is your answer. You know, you have to give yourself permission to free yourself. You have to give yourself permission to move on. You can't wait, you can't put that power in other people's hands. This is gonna be short, sweet, and straight to the point. So let me get to five key points as to why you don't need to be waiting around for closure because you already have your answer. They already gave you the answer, they already told you and showed you who they are. Stop living in denial and give yourself permission not to do that. Number one, five key points. I need you to save and download this episode and come back and listen to this until it gets to your spirit if this is something that you are struggling with. All right. Number one, closure is not something that they give you, it's a decision that you make for yourself. Give yourself permission to do that. Waiting for an explanation, an apology, or a confession, it keeps you your healing in somebody else's hands. You don't want to give that power over to somebody else. Number two, their actions already gave you the information. Like I said earlier, what you're looking for, they already told you and they already showed you. The disrespect, the inconsistency, the betrayal, or the silence was the answer. It is the answer. You may not like the answer, but you have to receive it because they're giving you an answer. Number three, understanding why won't remove the pain. If they give you an explanation, it doesn't erase what happened. It doesn't erase what they did. It's not gonna erase what you feel. You can know every single detail of why they did what they did, what they did, what they did, and still feel hurt, still feel the pain. Healing comes from processing what happened, not endlessly investigating it. So release it and let it go because they're gonna do the same thing to the next person and the next person after that, and the next person after that. Number four, you don't need their agreement to validate your experience because they're gonna deny, deny, deny anyway, most likely. They may deny it, they may minimize it, they may try to even rewrite the history or the story of it, or never even take accountability. But what happens to you still matters, it's still important, it's still valid, but you have to give that validation to yourself, not to other people. Number five, moving forward does not mean the past was acceptable. It simply means that you're no longer tolerating or allowing what happened to keep controlling your present or your future. So you can release the person without excusing the behavior. I just want you to know that. So, my closing statement, guys, is gonna be closure is not the final conversation you have with the person that hurt you, disappointed you, betrayed you, whatever it is. Closure is the moment you stop abandoning yourself, you stop abandoning your inner child while waiting for them to explain what they did and why they did it. Baby, they don't care why they did it, they're just being who they are. This is why when you see a person is not aligned with who you are and where you're going, you need to quickly walk away or run away. Period. So to close this out, guys, give yourself permission to heal. Give yourself permission to put the power back into your own hands because it is not up to anybody else. It is not about an apology, it's not about an explanation. It is about a simple decision to say, you know what? I'm gonna do the work, I'm gonna sit with myself, I'm gonna learn the lesson, I'm gonna see why I attracted this, what was I supposed to learn, why did I entertain it? Why did I stay? All of that. Those are the type of questions you want to ask yourself. And you're gonna give yourself permission to do that. You're gonna give yourself permission to forgive yourself for giving your power away, for staying too long, for not honoring yourself. It's okay. We are all students learning the game of life. But the key is once you see the lesson, learn the lesson and move on so you don't keep repeating the test and different experiences. So give yourself permission to learn, to move on, to release and to let go and to forgive. And just because you forgive, guys, does not mean that you have to give that person the same access back into your life. Every situation is gonna be different. Some people you have to deal with with a long spoon, keep them at a distance. Some people you gotta completely cut off because they just don't know how to act, and it just is what it is, you know. And some people you just have to never talk to again because they just don't know how to act. Pray for them, release them, love them with the love of God, and move on. Period. God did not call anybody to be a doormat. So listen, I love you guys. Thank you so much for hanging out with me.
