Ep: 18 Don’t Despise Small Beginnings: God is Working

What's up, my beautiful Soul Tribe, and welcome back to the permission activated podcast, where this is your weekly reminder to give yourself permission because the only permission that you need is your own because God has already called you to go forth. I am your host, Coach Ty, and you're inside of 10 days of tie nuggets. So let's jump right into it. So today's tie nugget, guys, is going to be do not despise small beginnings. Whoo, baby, who am I talking to out there? God is saying, do not despise small beginnings, do not despise what it may look like because nothing is what it appears to be, saith the Lord. That is the whole word for somebody right now. Nothing is what it appears to be. I know you think it's one thing, but God is saying, uh-uh, I'm doing something completely different. I know you think it's coming from the left, but it's actually coming from the right. I know you think you're supposed to be looking north, but I got the blessing in the south. Come on now. God is saying, do not despise small beginnings because nothing is what it appears to be in this season or ever when it comes to God. Because God is a chess player. He's not playing checkers, baby. He's playing chess, which means when you feel a little lost, when you feel a little confused, when you feel a little stuck and you don't know what is going on, that's when God is doing his best work. That means he's on the 50th move ahead of you. While you're still stuck on move number two, God done already moved 55 spaces ahead. So be encouraged, and this is your confirmation to be encouraged to know that you are in alignment and that everything is happening and working out for your good. Okay, so let's jump into this word. I was getting so many downloads today, so I know there are a lot of people out there that need this. Got to drop this word right now. So here's the deal, guys. I'm gonna give you a quick testimony. Years and years ago, when God first started training me to become the person that I am now, and he's still not finished. We've only just begun. But years ago, when he started spiritually training me, it was test after test after test after test. It was always warfare to the point to where I was just like, God, can I get a break? Like, can I can I please take a break? Can we take a lunch break? Can we take a dinner break? And God was like, nah, not yet, not yet. I'm building you. There will be a time for rest, there will be a season of rest, there will be a season for peace. But right now, I need to finish my work and I need to do my greater work in you. And so I remember specifically one night, I was laying on the couch and it was about two o'clock in the morning. And I said, God, I was like, Why, why are you having me go through all of this? Like, why is all of this stuff happening to me? And do you know what the Lord said to me? He said, and I heard him clear as day. He said, You know, you pray to me every single day and you say, God, use me, God use me, use me for your will, use me, use me, use me. And God said, You know what? I'm answering your prayer. I am using you. And this is how I'm using you by telling my story through your life. This is not about the enemy, this is not about the devil attacking you, this is not about that. If you ask me to use you, I'm going to tell my story through your life. And this is the story that I'm going to tell because I know the people that are connected to your life. I know the people that are going to be drawn to you 5, 10, 15, 20 years down the line. I know the frequency that you need to resonate. I know the vibration you need to be in. And the training that I'm taking you through right now is going to solidify that frequency, that energy, that vibration, the presence that you carry. So God said to me, He said, It's not about you. He said, It's about the people that are coming behind you. It's about the people that I am going to heal, deliver, and save through your life. You will be the example that people can follow. You will be the example that will teach them and guide them and lead them out of the darkness, out of the lion's pit, out of the furnace. That is what I'm building and developing in you. And once he told me that, once he told me that it wasn't about me, he was telling his story through my life and that I will be a walking testimony to those who would come behind me of God's saving grace, his mercy, his healing, his deliverance. I never asked him that question ever again because I understood the assignment. And God is saying to some of you, I just need you to understand the assignment. I just need you to know that I'm teaching your hands to war, I'm teaching your feet to jump from mountain to mountain, I'm teaching you what faith really looks like. I'm building your roots deep so that when the storms and the winds may come and blow, baby, you're not gonna be destroyed. So God is building a solid foundation in you right now. And I know when you're going through the storm, you can't really see it, you can't really understand it. But baby, I'm here to confirm that everything is happening exactly as it is supposed to. There is no way I could have done any of the things that I've been able to do without going through the fire. Now, what does that look like? What is going through the fire in the furnace look like? What does not despising small beginnings look like? It looks like being thrown in the furnace with God, of course. You're not gonna be burned and consumed, but you're gonna understand and know what that fire feels like, that spiritual, mental, and emotional fire. It looks like people betraying you, it looks like people backstabbing you, it looks like people walking away from you, it looks like people lying and cheating. It looks like you being thrown in a lion's den like Daniel in the Bible with being covered and protected by God. Baby, you gotta understand the language of the enemy. You gotta understand how to fight the lions and tigers and the bears on the backside of the mountain. That's why King David was promoted in the Bible because he was not just protecting the sheep. Baby, he was fighting lions, tigers, and bears on the back side of the mountain to protect the sheep. God was building up his strength, his endurance, he was building up his wisdom, his knowledge, his understanding, and his intimacy and his relationship with God. God was cultivating David's intimacy on the back side of the mountain so that when he got promoted to king, he would understand and know what it would be like to defeat the many Goliaths that would come at him. He would know how to be a man of war. He would know how to trust and depend and lean on the Lord. So God did all this preparation while nobody was looking, nobody knew who David was, his family ignored him. His own father didn't even consider him to be king as a candidate when the prophet came and said, Bring all your sons. He didn't even call for David until the prophet said, Do you have another son? Because none of these boys that you bought me. It's a powerful story. Go read about it. But I'm saying all of this to say while you are in the valley, it is because God is preparing you. It is because God is training you. So do not despise small beginnings, do not despise the dark places because that is where your spiritual muscles are going to be built. Yeah, that person betraying you, that was you learning to lift 25 pounds. Yeah, that person walking away from you, that was you learning to lift another 50 pounds. Oh, you had to cut some family off. That was you learning to lift 150 pounds, baby. Who am I talking to out there? So you gotta understand it's not about the darkness, it's not about the attacks, it's about you being trained, it's about you being sharpened, it's about God cultivating what he needs to cultivate in you for you to be the warrior that you need to become for the sake of the kingdom, for the sake of the people that are praying for you, for the sake of the people that you are going to inspire, motivate, empower, and heal through the power of God. So, baby, you better thank God for everybody who walked away from you, everybody who betrayed you, every dark place that you had to enter and fight your way out of, because now you are stronger, you are sharper, you are wiser. Prayerfully, you're learning your lessons and not repeating them. That's a whole nother conversation, but you know what I'm saying. So, God is saying to some of you in this hour, you are about to see and find out why a lot of things didn't work, why a lot of people had to walk away, why a lot of doors had to close because of the ultimate masterpiece that he has for you. See, sometimes we get stuck on one puzzle piece when God is trying to show us the whole masterpiece. Sometimes we get stuck on the one meal when God is trying to give us the entire restaurant. So be encouraged today and know that nothing that you went through was in vain. Know that God is always working and moving, even when you can't see him, you don't feel him, and you don't understand him. And I'm gonna tell you something that I've learned, guys. A lot of the times when you feel the furthest away from God, you feel like you can't feel him, you can't hear him. It is because he is carrying you, it is because he has changed his position. Oh my god, that's a whole word for somebody right there. See, you gotta understand when God is walking beside you or behind you or in front of you, you can feel his presence behind you or in front of you on the side of you. But when God is carrying you, baby, that's a whole nother spiritual position. You're not going to feel him around you because he's holding you in his arms. So meditate on that. Pray into that. Here's the thing you gotta understand that God does his best work in the small things, he does his masterpiece work in the small things, in the little things. And sometimes a lot of you miss him because you're expecting this big roar, this big storm, this big boom, like oh, God just kicked in the door, God is here. God doesn't work and move like that. He's very discreet, he's very strategic, and he takes his time because he's a God of order. Some of y'all want that microwave manifestation, that microwave prayer answered. No, baby, put it in the oven, let it cook all the way through. Because when you're dealing with cake, when you're dealing with bread and all of that stuff, I used to bake a lot, all right? When you're dealing with that stuff, you touch it and you feel it, and you check it from the outside, and it looks like it's done, baby. But then you take it out and you see that center is still moist. That center still needs to cook a little bit more. And for many of you, God is saying, I know it looks like it's done. I know you think he or she is ready to be the wife or the husband, but baby, I need to cook that thing a little bit more. Come on now. I need to prepare these positions for you a little bit more because you're gonna be the perfect fit. You're going to be what they've been looking for, what they've been praying for, what they've been fasting for, baby. Who am I talking to? God is tailor-fitting, custom making positions for you in your career, in the business opportunity, in the area of love, baby. God is your tailor in this hour. He is your tailor. God is saying, let me custom fit this person, this situation, this circumstance for you, but I need you to keep it in the oven and let it cook and bake a little while longer. Come on now, baby. That'll preach all day, every day. Who am I talking to? So just leave it in the oven. Stop trying to put everything in a microwave. That's a whole separate word for somebody. But back to what I was saying, God does his best work in the little things. And the scripture that I want to leave you guys with before I go is going to be 1 Kings chapter 19, 11 through 13. Now, in this scripture, the prophet Elijah is running for his life, okay? And he's praying to God. He's asking God for a sign. He's like, God, speak to me. I need to know what to do next. And so God says, Okay, I want you to go to this mountain and just wait for me. Just just wait. And so the prophet Elijah, he starts to wait. So there is this huge, humongous wind that comes, and it's a great and mighty wind. It literally tears part of the mountain apart and shatters the rocks, but the Lord wasn't in the wind. Then there was a mighty earthquake after that, but God wasn't in the earthquake either. And then after the earthquake came a fire, but God still wasn't in the fire. You know how God came? Came as a whisper. Finally, after all of those things had passed, God came in a still small voice. So for some of you, God is saying, I need you to cut off the noise because you can't hear my still small voice. God is saying, for some of you, I need you to fast from social media for 24 to 48 hours because you can't hear the still small voice. I need you to fast and take a break from other people's opinions for 24 to 48 hours so you can hear the still small voice. I need you to stop eating the junk food, stop watching porn, stop engaging in unnecessary sexual things so you can hear the still small voice. In other words, stop feeding your flesh and feed your spirit so you can hear the still small voice. Because again, God does his best work in the small minor details. Take your time, slow down, and listen. Don't be so quick to jump into the relationship. Don't be so quick to give that person your number and let them into your life. Don't be so quick to lay down and have sex with them. Don't be so quick to move ahead of God. Baby, let me tell you something. Download this and save this because you need to let this get in your spirit. You need to let it cook and cook all the way through, baby. Okay. And remember, do not despise small beginnings because you have to properly build the foundation so that it can withstand the test of time and it can withstand the storms of time. God loves you, He's with you. So give yourself permission to walk in that, believe that, embody that, and trust that. Give yourself permission to pray more, to meditate more, to sit in silence more, to give God the opportunity to come in with the still small voice. Give yourself permission to listen with your heart and your mind and your whole entire being. Give yourself permission to connect with your creator on a deeper level. Okay. I love you guys so much.
